Legal agreement governing ticket purchases, event entry, and platform usage

Last updated: March 2025

Entering an event constitutes a legal agreement. Use of Someone's TICKET creates a binding contract between you, the event organizer, and the platform that processes the transaction. These terms govern payment flow, digital pass issuance, identity verification, and conduct at the venue gate.

Operations follow the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

Access to the platform confirms full acceptance of these conditions.

1. The Nature of the Ticket

A ticket grants a limited license to attend a specific event at a defined time and location. Ownership of the event remains with the organizer and venue operator. Entry remains subject to venue policy and local law.

Validity

Tickets acquire legal validity only when purchased through official channels authorized by Someone's TICKET. Screenshots, altered copies, or unofficial confirmations do not constitute valid proof of entry.

Digital Credential

Payment completion triggers the issuance of a unique alphanumeric code or a QR credential. This credential represents the sole recognized confirmation of purchase. The system records issuance time, purchaser identity, and event reference.

Format Responsibility

The attendee bears responsibility for presenting the credential in a readable form. A functioning mobile device or a high-quality printed copy remains required where applicable. Screen damage, battery failure, or unreadable printouts fall outside the platform's responsibility.

2. Pricing, Payments, and Currency

All transactions are in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED), unless otherwise stated for specific cross-border events.

Displayed Pricing

Checkout displays the total amount payable. That total includes the ticket face value determined by the organizer and the service charge applied by Someone's TICKET. Service charges cover platform operation, fraud detection, infrastructure costs, and payment processing overhead.

Taxation

UAE Federal tax law mandates the application of Value Added Tax at five percent on taxable supplies. VAT is calculated at the point of sale and is clearly displayed during checkout.

Payment Authorization

Bank authorization confirms the finality of the sale. Generation of the ticket credential signals completion of the transaction. Payment disputes initiated through banking channels do not invalidate the ticket issuance status until they are formally resolved.

Chargebacks and Reversals

Fraudulent chargeback attempts result in suspension of the associated account. The platform reserves the right to contest disputes submitted without valid grounds.

3. Prohibition of Unauthorized Resale

The platform maintains fair access to inventory. Price inflation and speculative resale undermine event integrity.

Resale Restriction

Resale above the original face value remains prohibited. Transfer rights, if available, are available only within the system parameters defined by the organizer.

Secondary Market Activity

Tickets purchased from unauthorized marketplaces or social auction platforms are immediately invalidated. Unique ticket identifiers allow tracking of suspicious listing patterns. Deactivated codes fail at gate verification.

Automated Purchasing

Use of scripts, bots, or automated purchase software violates platform policy. Detection of such activity leads to account termination and potential reporting to UAE authorities.

Enforcement

Account bans apply to individuals engaged in bulk resale or identity manipulation. Platform reserves the right to pursue legal recourse in cases of systemic abuse.

4. Refunds, Postponements, and Cancellations

Event execution remains under the organizer's authority.

Cancellation

Official cancellation triggers the initiation of refund procedures. Refund covers ticket face value returned to the original payment method. Processing timelines depend on banking infrastructure.

Rescheduling

Change of date or venue preserves ticket validity for the revised event. The organizer's window determines refund eligibility. Failure to submit a request within the defined period confirms acceptance of the revised schedule.

Service Charges

Platform service charges remain non-refundable because operational work has already been performed at the time of sale.

Force Majeure

Events disrupted by government directive, public safety orders, or force majeure events follow refund rules determined jointly by the organizer and regulatory guidance.

5. Gate Verification and Entry Conditions

The entry point functions as a verification checkpoint.

Identity Confirmation

Attendees must carry a valid government-issued photo identification document. Organizers may perform manual identity checks where required.

Single Entry Rule

A QR credential authorizes one successful scan. System logs record entry time and status. Subsequent attempts using the same credentials will fail.

Venue Protocols

Access requires compliance with venue security procedures. Bag inspections, metal detection, or safety screening may apply. Refusal to comply results in denied entry without refund.

Late Arrival

Entry timing may be restricted once an event begins. Organizer policy governs late admission.

6. Conduct and Liability

Platform infrastructure processes access. Event content and environment remain under the organizer's control.

Behavioral Standards

Attendees must comply with the venue code of conduct. Age restrictions, prohibited items, and dress policies apply as stated by the organizer.

Limitation of Liability

Someone's TICKET bears responsibility for transaction processing and credential issuance. Liability does not extend to personal injury, property loss, event content quality, or schedule changes beyond platform control.

Indemnification

Users accept responsibility for claims arising from violation of these terms or unlawful behavior at events.

7. Account Integrity and Identity Accuracy

User accounts function as access credentials.

Credential Security

Users must protect login information. Activity conducted under an account carries the account holder's responsibility.

Truthful Information

Providing inaccurate identity data constitutes a breach of the terms. Attempts to bypass purchase limits using false identities result in account suspension.

Suspension Authority

Platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts engaged in fraudulent or abusive behavior.

8. Data and Security Interaction

Transaction records link to verification systems. Encryption protects stored and transmitted information. Access privileges remain restricted to authorized personnel based on job necessity. Incident response plans define notification and remediation procedures.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The laws of the United Arab Emirates govern these terms. Courts of Dubai retain exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from the use of the platform or the purchase of tickets.

Use of Someone's TICKET confirms agreement to these provisions. A ticket grants entry to an event. These terms govern that entry.
